The Hornady Black line of ammunition features new bullet and propellant technology specifically created for optimal performance amongst a variety of shooting applications with supreme accuracy and consistency. Its clean burning propellant technology provides 15 to 20% temperature reduction, resulting in a progressive burn rate with minimal flash. Made in a 6.8 SPC cartridge and loaded with a 110 grain Hornady V-MAX projectile, this round is designed to fit, feed and function with direct impingement, gas piston, suppressed, unsuppressed, bolt, supersonic, subsonic, rifle-length, mid-length, carbine, and pistol AR platforms. The V-MAX projectile features a pointed polymer tip that increases the ballistic coefficient and creates explosive expansion upon impact.
